Russia's AvtoVAZ resumes Lada Niva Travel production

MOSCOW, Aug 15 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ has resumed production of Lada Niva Travel model on its plant in Tolyatti, the company said in a statement on Monday.

"AvtoVAZ announces resumption of Lada Niva Travel off-road car production. Assembly of the cars of the 2022 model range restarted on August 15," the company said.

The basic equipment of the car includes power steering, front electric windows, an electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, the ERA-GLONASS navigation with a mechanical activation system, height adjustable steering column and LED taillights.

The carmaker was in downtime many times earlier this year and changed the dates of the corporate vacations to April 4–24 from summer. In June, AvtoVAZ resumed production of the Lada Granta model in its classic version with a minimal share of imported components.
